Beth and Jane have been leading personal growth workshops for the past 30 years at learning centers such as the Omega Institute and the Kripalu Center.They are both psychotherapists in the Philadelphia area known for their expertise in teaching self-esteem and working with trauma, body image issues, eating disorders and shame based behaviors. From 1986-1993 they led therapy groups and supervised the staff at the Renfrew Center, the country's first residential treatment center for eating disorders. They hold a national reputation for training health care professionals working in the field of eating disorders. In addition to their general psychotherapy practices they are trained practitioners of body-centered trauma therapies including EMDR and Somatic Experiencing. They have co-authored "The Body As A Shame Container" in the Renfrew Center's "Fostering Body Mind Integration" CD (volume 1) and the Renfrew Center Working Papers.
